I provide feedback with suggestions on how to improve sentence structure, syntax, word usage, word choice, awkward phrasing, repetitiveness, style, and clarity.

Novel Proofreading
If you’ve been through the editing process already and are looking to have your manuscript proofread to ensure that it is error-free and ready to publish, I can help you with that as well.
What is proofreading?
Proofreading is the final review of the content of your manuscript before publishing. This is where I do my best to make sure that the manuscript is error-free and ready for the next step of the publishing process.
Proofreading for children’s picture books up to 1,200 words is $50.

Copy Editing for Other Types of Written Content
In addition to children’s books and novels, I also edit other types of written content. These include but are not limited to blog posts, articles, newsletters, brochures/fliers, and academic essays. The rate for each of these is $35 for up to four pages. After four pages, the rate is $50.
What I Do Not Offer
I do not offer rewriting, co-writing, ghostwriting, fact-checking, researching, or marketing services.
While I do not offer rewriting services, I do offer suggestions on how to rewrite sentences or sections of text to improve the flow and clarity of the story. I don’t make these changes myself because I want the author to have the final say in their work and be 100% satisfied with it. I’m here to help and support authors while they do this, not to take over.
I do not answer questions about publishing, formatting, or marketing. These are not my areas of expertise, and therefore, I cannot confidently answer questions about them. I do, however, have contacts that I can refer authors to that can properly help with the publishing process, whether it be traditional publishing or self-publishing. They provide services such as illustrations, formatting, book designing, cover designing, and more.
If you have any other questions that may not have been discussed on this page, feel free to send me an email and I’d be happy to discuss your project with you and answer any questions you have. 🙂
